Intro Spanish Cuisine

The Spanish cuisine is as varied as its landscape and its people.

Is mostly based on the ingredients available locally or the crops grown regionally.

You can have a totally different experience when traveling along the North coast, into the mountains of Picos de Europa or discovering the amazing Castile and Leon.

There are thousands of dishes to try but, let´s start by some of the most tasty;

Gazpacho

This tomato-based Andalusian soup is most famous for being served cold. This can be quite a shock for some tourists but, when the weather gets warmer, the attraction becomes clear.

Fideuá

Less well known to tourists, fideuá ia a type of Spanish pasta similar to Vermicelli. It´s very popular among seafood dishes that rival paella for their taste.

Croquetas

Another typical item (specially on a tapas menú) are croquetas. They are tubes of bechamel sauce encased in fried bread crumbs, Really delicious!
